Children love art, but they need help, guidance and direction to reach their full potential.  The lessons published here in the Art Room are all designed to teach key skills and concepts to help them do this.

These lessons focus on seven key areas of art: line, shape, pattern, form, colour, space and value.

 

Each downloadable lesson pack is made up of at least five pages and follow the same learning structure:

• A report about the artist, story or topic

• Questions aimed at promoting speaking and listening in the classroom

• Skills exercises to develop techniques

• Step-by-step instructions

• An extension activity
